Marketing Reality Check

I just got a bit of a verbal smack in the face a few minutes ago. I was watching Maggie, my best friend's almost-three-year old, and commercials were on TV. I asked her what she wanted to watch, and went thru some choices, but she told me she wanted to watch the "Be Right Back."

The little girl not only preferred commercials to her favorite shows at that moment...but she seemed to think the commercials WERE a show. And what the FCC wants put in there so kids will differentiate between shows and ads...she thought was the name of that "show" instead.

*sigh*

Kinda puts part of my future career in perspective, huh?
