So the Bravos get Texiera. Yippee. Personally, I never have been that high on this guy. Then I see the details on the trade. We shipped out Salty, a fringe pitcher, one of our best prospects, and someone else...for this guy and a toss-us-a-bone pitcher? Ugh.
As much as I don't want to like Davies for Dotel, I suppose it makes sense, as Davies has been gassed compared to the early flashes of brilliance he showed. Dotel can help shore up the back end of the bullpen, so Davies made it a relative bargain. Plus, who knows? Maybe the kid can shine in KC, or get back to his old form. Doubtful, since the Royals are the Sultans of Suck, but stranger things have happened. They did win a ring, after all.
